I have been at FUMC since June, 2011, and I love Beaumont and this congregation. As senior pastor, I have responsibilities for preaching, worship planning, guiding the church in fulfilling the mission God calls us to fulfill, and administrative tasks of staff supervision. I love people and helping people discover how much God loves each of them. I’m married to Sparks and mom to a daughter and son-in-law, Laurel and Michael Ellisor, and a son, Matthew Dorris. Our dog’s name is Gus and he considers me “mom” too, since I am the one who fills his bowl every day! In my spare time, I love jogging, biking, refinishing furniture, and needlepoint. I have many favorite scripture passages, but one that always brings a smile to my face is, “With God, all things are possible.”

“For I know the plans I have for you” declares the Lord, “plans for good and not for evil, to give you hope and a future” Jeremiah 29:11. Many years ago the Lord whispered this scripture into my soul and it is one that I hold on to and believe Him for. I am so grateful that it was in His plans for me to become part of the family here at First United Methodist. It is an honor to work with the staff and church members alike and I look forward to many years of serving as your financial secretary and communications specialist. On a personal note, I have lived in Bridge City for 20 years and attend First Assembly of God there. I am blessed to be the mother of two wonderful sons, Andrew and Wayne. I enjoy listening to music, reading and attending the symphony.
My name is Jana Windle. I was born and raised in Albuquerque, NM. I moved to Beaumont 20 years ago. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor. I have been working with the youth for over 10 years. I started out as a volunteer, and then I was given the opportunity to be the Director of Youth Ministries. Working with the youth brings great joy to my life.

I have been on staff at FUMC for the past 8 years, since my retirement from Beaumont Independent School District, where I taught Kindergarten for 19 years. I am a part-time employee, which allows plenty of time for me to visit my three married children and thoroughly spoil my four grandchildren. For the past 35 years, I have made FUMC my home. It is a great place to worship each Sunday, to make new friends that will last a lifetime and find a place to be in service for our Lord.
God has blessed me with the opportunity to play fine instruments, glory in our beautiful sanctuary and work with a wonderful, sensitive Director (Renee Kloes) to make music with a talented choir. I have had the privilege of being organist for FUMC for 15 years. I am an ordained United Methodist minister on Honorable Location, and have been “located” at FUMC since 1984. My husband Walter and I have three adult children and four grandchildren, ages 21 to 6 months. Renee is the 16th choral director I have either sung for or played for or both, and Karen and W. C. are the 27th and 28th pastors I have worked with. We have a wonderful, caring church family, inspiring worship services, and great fellowship. Come and see!
